Web postings suggest that this book was originally intended for publication in 2010 and Baker & Taylor input a brief record to OCLC (#698332185) without pagination.

A set of PDF copies are available at
http://www.nasa.gov/centers/johnson/wingsinorbit/index.html (Clicking on the image of the cover http://www.nasa.gov/centers/johnson/pdf/536820main_Table-of-ContentsW-Links.pdf offers links to chapters through the index)

Would this online title be classed NAS 1.2:?

Editor’s Note: A record for the print version of this item was already present in the Catalog of Government Publications when this report was made, with the item number 0830-I assigned.  However, no record for the electronic version could be located as of 7/5/2011.

This looks like a fugitive publication to me. A patron was asking
whether or not we had USGS Professional Paper 1700, Stratigraphic
studies in southwestern Montana and adjacent Idaho–lower Tertiary
Anaconda Conglomerate and Mesoproterozoic Gunsight Formation. I was
surprised to find that this 2005 publication was unavailable. It’s part
of an established series, it’s an agency that GPO works with
frequently–so it seems like a clear in-scope depository item to me.
It’s strange what falls through the cracks.

Here’s the information from the USGS Publications Warehouse:
http://pubs.er.usgs.gov/publication/pp1700

Why wasn’t this printed and distributed, or why is it still not
available digitally? Can depositories get access to this?

Editor’s Note: We are calling this a false positive because the reporter notes that this journal is not published by a government agency although it is available on a government web site.

This is an example of a publication that while it is out of scope for either the Federal Depository Library Program or the National Bibliography, would be of interest to Federal Depository Libraries with strong science collections.
